Pale Coloring Tutorial - The Steps

  • Go to Layers -> New Adjustment Layers -> Curves… make sure your settings are set to RGB, now change your settings to mine, which are below:
    INPUT: 50
    OUTPUT: 61

Once that’s done, just click OK.

  • Go to Layers -> New Fill layer -> Solid color -> enter this code: FFB6ED then click OK. Set your new pink layer to ‘OVERLAY’ and change the opacity to 36%
  • Now we’re going to add a brightness/contrast effect to your image, simply by going -> Layers -> New Adjustment Layers -> Brightness/Contrast…. Now change your setting to mine: Brightness: -18 Contrast: +20
  • Now that that’s done, just click OK.
  • Now for the finishing touch, this is optional, depending on what image your using, but for the image I’m using, sharpening the edges gives it a nice touch. So go Filter -> Sharpen -> Sharpen Edges… and you’re done!
  • Aaannnddd you’re done! I hope this tutorial was helpful and made sense. If you need any help regarding this pale coloring tutorial please do leave a comment below.
