This How to Add Brushes to Photoshop Tutorial will explain how to add custom made brushes into Photoshop.

This is extremely useful as the default brushes don’t have everything you need and want, although good they’re lacking a bit and many designers have created some beautiful custom brushes.

How to Add Brushes to Photoshop Tutorial - The Steps


  • Firstly, open Adobe Photoshop - make sure you’ve downloaded some brushes to your computer and that you can easily find them.
  • Assuming you have custom brushes you wish to add, then go -> Edit -> Preset Manager - this box should appear - you will see the button “Load”, click that and when another box appears please locate your downloaded brush set, and then press OK!

This Convert Stamps to Brushes in Photoshop Tutorial will explain how to transform stamps, imagepacks, drawing, image etc into a custom photoshop brush.

This is extremely useful as the default brushes don’t have everything you need and want, although good they’re lacking a bit and many designers have created some beautiful drawings, stamps, imagepacks etc

Convert Stamps to Brushes in Photoshop Tutorial - The Steps


  • Firstly, open Adobe Photoshop - make sure you’ve downloaded some stamps to your computer - open them in Photoshop.
  • Assuming you have opened your stamps in Photoshop, here’s the first step: On the left find the Rectangular Marquee Tool - or just press M - now with the selection tool select around the brush.
  • Now that you’ve selected around the brush/stamp, go -> Edit (it’s along the top, with File, Edit, Image etc) and then look for Define Brush, click that. A box will pop up, you can name the brush if you want, or just leave it as it is, then click OK.
